How it works
Retatrutide activates three receptors at once — GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. Alongside the appetite-suppressing and insulin-sensitising effects of GLP-1/GIP agonism, glucagon-receptor activity is thought to raise energy expenditure and support fat metabolism. In Phase 2 trials this triple mechanism produced average weight loss exceeding 24% at the highest dose over 48 weeks.
